Getting to Ithaca

The Tompkins County Airport serves Ithaca via American, Delta, and United. Alternatively, you may fly into the Syracuse Airport which has more options for airlines. It is an approximately one hour and fifteen-minute drive from Ithaca. Ground transportation services are available to and from the Syracuse Airport, but you must make arrangements in advance.

For those traveling by bus, Ithaca is served by GreyhoundNew York Trailways, and ShortLine bus systems, as well as the Cornell Campus-to-Campus Bus from New York City to Ithaca.

Getting Around Town

You will find an interactive campus map here. The street address for Sage Hall is 114 East Avenue, Ithaca, NY.

The TCAT local bus system is recommended. You may find these apps helpful in navigating the bus system.

Ithaca is serviced by Ithaca Dispatch, and Collegetown Cab. Ithaca is also serviced by Lyft and Uber.


You need a permit to park on campus during the business day. Stop by the Hoy Road Parking Information Booth, and the attendant will direct you to the closest available parking.

If you arrive to campus after 5:00 p.m., a parking permit is not needed to park in the Hoy Road Parking Garage. Please note that the parking booths are closed at 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, and are not open on Saturday and Sunday.
