Sarah McDonald, MBA '99

Sarah (Brubacher) McDonald, MBA ’99

Chief Operating Officer, Zenreach

Sarah (Brubacher) McDonald received her Johnson MBA in 1999 and continues to serve as president of her MBA class. Post Johnson, Sarah spent four years at Accenture in their strategy practice in Boston focused on Communications and Tech companies. She translated that experience into a move to the Bay Area and a 14-year career at eBay. Her roles at eBay included positions in Trust and Safety, Cross Border Trade, Seller Development, People Operations, and as Chief of Staff to the President of eBay. Sarah left eBay in 2019 to become the COO at Zenreach,a <100 person, venture-funded start-up located in San Francisco.

Hernan Saenz, MBA/MILR '98

Partner and Head of Global Performance Improvement Practice, Bain & Company

Hernan Saenz is the head of the Global Performance Improvement Practice at Bain & Company, a top management consulting firm that advises leaders on strategy, marketing, organization, operations, IT, and M&A across all industries worldwide. Formerly, he served as managing partner of the firm’s Dallas, Houston, and Mexico offices. Saenz has more than 20 years of consulting experience and specializes in corporate transformations, full-potential programs, cost and operational turnarounds, and large-scale change efforts. He has completed more than 100 assignments across a number of sectors, including airlines, retail, healthcare, consumer and industrial products and services, distribution, and telecommunications. Prior to joining Bain & Company, Saenz was a faculty member in economics at INCAE in Latin America and also served as a principal at a consulting firm for Latin American financial institutions.

Saenz earned an MBA at Johnson and an MILR from the ILR School, as well as an MS in economics from Stanford University. He is also a graduate of Harvard University, where he received a BA in economics. A proud Johnson alumnus, Saenz currently shares his knowledge and expertise with Johnson students as a visiting senior lecturer in management and organizations.
