Management and finance curriculum

The Cornell-Tsinghua Finance MBA curriculum, which combines theory and practice in 60 credits, is presented in four modules. The core/basic module provides deep insights related to finance, operations, economics, and management. Later in the program, you’ll complete modules on entrepreneurship and innovation along with elective courses that are based strongly in finance. All students participate in and complete a negotiation practicum, Wall Street trek, fintech hackathon, and thesis.

Unique learning experience

The Cornell-Tsinghua program is divided into classroom sessions and U.S. Residential Sessions. Seventy-five percent of coursework will be completed in China—the majority of classroom sessions take place every other weekend. The remaining twenty-five percent of the program consists of U.S. Residential Sessions, specifically to Cornell’s dual campuses in Ithaca, NY, and New York City. While in Ithaca, you’ll have the opportunity to work with other Johnson MBA students on joint projects and case competitions and hear from guest speakers who are leaders in the finance arena.
