S. Joseph Wickwire, II, CFA

Portfolio Manager

 

Joe Wickwire is a portfolio manager at Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo), the investment advisor for Fidelity’s family of mutual funds. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. In this role, he manages Select Gold Portfolio (since 2007), Fidelity Advisor Gold Fund (since 2007), and Fidelity Global Commodity Stock Fund (since 2009).

 

Prior to joining Fidelity as a portfolio manager in 2007, Joe held various positions over a 20 year tenure with Wells Capital Management (formerly Evergreen Investments), including that of portfolio manager of a precious metals fund from 2004 to 2007, director and international equity analyst from 1999 to 2004, senior research associate from 1997 to 1999, and various other roles from 1987 to 1997. He has been in the investments industry since 1987.

 

Joe earned his bachelor of arts degree in history from Boston College and his master of business administration degree in investment finance and international business from Bentley University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. In 2011, Brendan Wood International named Joe one of its “Top-Gun US Metals and Mining Investment Minds.” He has appeared on the Bloomberg Business, CNBC, and Fox Business television news channels; been quoted in Barron’s, The New York Times, Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal; and has presented at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, and the Harvard Business School. Joe currently serves on the Bentley University Hughey Center for Financial Services Advisory Board and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

 

 

Boris Shepov

FMRCo

Research Analyst

 

Boris Shepov is a research analyst at Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo), the investment advisor for Fidelity’s family of mutual funds. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. In this role, Boris is responsible for researching companies in the machinery sector, and for presenting ideas to portfolio managers. In this capacity, he also manages Select Industrial Equipment Fund.

 

Prior to joining Fidelity in 2008, Boris worked as a summer associate at Barclays Capital in 2007, an associate at Withum Smith & Brown, PC in 2006, and as an analyst at Ingis & Company, PA from 2004 to 2006. He has been in the asset management industry since 2008.

 

Boris earned his bachelor of science and master of science degrees in finance from Kiev University of Trade and Economics, and his master of business administration degree in finance from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Kathryn B. Lakin

Responsibilities at Putnam

Ms. Lakin is an Assistant Director of Global Equity Research and an Analyst in the U.S. Large Cap Equity Research group, covering consumer staples, specifically packaged food. She is responsible for conducting fundamental analysis and valuation of the companies in this industry and making buy/sell recommendations. In addition, she oversees and manages the Equity Associate internship and full- time program. Ms. Lakin joined Putnam in 2012 and has been in the investment industry since 2008.

Beth J. Piskoroski

Beth is the associate director of Global Industry Research, an investment group comprising senior equity analysts and research associates who engage in bottom-up research, stock picking, and investment decision making across global capital markets. In this role, she focuses on ensuring that we attract, develop, and motivate world-class early tenured investment talent by providing them with the resources, support, and ongoing feedback needed to excel. She is responsible for both the research associates within Global Industry Research and the Launch Research Associate Program.

Prior to joining Global Industry Research in 2011, Beth was a portfolio specialist in Equity Product Management, where she assisted in the development of new investment approaches, evaluated overall portfolio characteristics, risk, and performance; and served as a portfolio liaison with the firm’s Global Relationship Group. 

Before joining Wellington Management in 2008, Beth worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company (2006-2008). Before that she worked as an investment associate at Putnam Investments, spending two years in Global Equity Research and one year on the Large Cap Growth Portfolio team (2001-2004).

Beth earned her MBA from Harvard University (2006) and her BA in philosophy and government, cum laude, from Dartmouth College (2001).

 

Mark E. Vincent

Equity Research Analyst

 

As an equity research analyst in Global Equity Portfolio Management and a member of the firm’s Quality Equity team, Mark conducts fundamental analysis on global equity investments, focusing on the tech, media, and telecom sectors.  His research supports the investment decision making for a range of portfolios managed for clients of the firm.  He works in our Boston office.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2008, Mark completed and MBA internship at the firm as a global industry analyst, covering the titanium industry.  Before that, he founded and operated AllPrints Interactive (2002-2006), a direct seller of framed artwork.

Mark earned his MBA from Cornell University (2008) and his BA in finance from Bentley College (2002).
