Ashish Kishinchand Ochani

Biography

Ashish Ochani is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Accounting group at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management. He is primarily interested in understanding the information production process of financial media in equity markets and the spillover effects of cryptocurrency markets. His research also includes examining the relevance of lifetime earnings in market pricing and the monitoring demand by institutional investors. He has served as an instructor and teaching assistant for financial accounting courses. Before joining the Johnson Ph.D. program in 2018, Ashish worked for Ernst & Young (EY) as a consultant in transaction advisory services and as an auditor in assurance services in Mumbai, India. He is an All India Rank holder Chartered Accountant (equivalent to CPA).
