Biography
Elisha is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in accounting at Cornell University's Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. She uses archival methods to examine issues related to financial reporting. Elisha is broadly interested in how financial information is produced and utilized in the capital markets. More specifically, her current research interest lies in emerging technologies, the real effects of accounting, and the changing public-private firm dynamics. She also studies how individual characteristics and behavior shape the information environment.
Before joining the Johnson Ph.D. program in 2019, Elisha worked as an auditor for Deloitte in Toronto, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Toronto and her Master of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University.
