Biography
William W. Xiong is a Ph.D. Candidate in Finance at Cornell University. He is an empirical finance researcher specializing in sustainable finance, biodiversity risk, ESG, and investments. His latest research articles focus on pricing the risk of biodiversity loss in the global stock markets, the environmental risk premia, and green investment returns. His work is featured in major finance conferences, such as the AFA 2024 and the FMA 2023, for presentations in ESG and sustainable finance sessions. He previously served as a predoctoral research fellow in finance at Columbia Business School and holds an M.S. degree from Columbia Engineering School.
